How We Handle Your Enquiry
Every enquiry we receive is read by a human team member — not filtered by an automated system. Here is what happens after you send your form.
Initial Review
Your message is received by our Cairo office and assigned to the team member whose expertise best matches your enquiry. Planning questions go to our field researchers; membership and account questions go to our client coordination team; research collaboration requests go directly to Dr. Mahmoud. This routing happens within one business day of receipt and is confirmed in our acknowledgement email.
Substantive Response
Our response addresses your specific questions rather than sending generic plan descriptions. If you have asked about a particular site or season, we will give you a direct assessment. If your proposed itinerary has a significant problem — two sites on opposite ends of Egypt on consecutive days, for instance, or a visit scheduled during a major closure — we will tell you plainly and suggest alternatives. We respond from named personal email addresses so you can reply directly to continue the conversation.
Account Setup
If you decide to proceed with a membership plan, we send a secure payment link by email. Access to the guide portal is active within one business hour of confirmed payment during office hours. Your membership start date is the date of confirmed payment; the access period counts from that date regardless of when your actual travel begins. You will receive a welcome message with login instructions and a brief orientation to the guide library structure.

Can I get a recommendation before purchasing a plan?
Yes. Select "General Enquiry" in the form, describe your planned trip, and we will advise which plan matches your needs without any obligation to purchase.
Do you offer in-person consultations at your Cairo office?
In-person meetings are available by appointment for visitors already in Cairo. Please arrange at least 48 hours in advance. Our office is at 14 Sherif Street, Downtown Cairo, accessible from Tahrir Square on foot in approximately 12 minutes.
What if I need information about a site not in your library?
Contact us with the site name. If it is a recognised archaeological or heritage site in Egypt, we either have unpublished notes we can share or can direct you to the best currently available source. We will not invent information we do not have.
How quickly can I access guides after paying?
Access is granted on the day of confirmed payment. Login credentials are emailed within one business hour during our office hours. If you pay outside business hours, credentials will arrive by 10:00 EET the following business day.
Do you handle group bookings for tour operators?
We work with licensed Egyptian tour operators who want to supplement their client materials with independent, Egyptologist-reviewed content. Institutional licensing arrangements start at groups of five. Contact us for the applicable rate schedule.
Can you verify whether a specific site is currently open?
Yes, for members. Real-time access status verification for any site in our library is available to Traveller and Expedition members as part of their email support entitlement. Explorer members can ask about the major sites covered by their core guide access.
